Rennell Sound

Service Description

Rennell Sound is located in a remote area and accessed by travelling 22 km on logging roads from Queen Charlotte, then an additional 11 km drive through the Rennell Pass. Rennell Sound is the only point on the west coast accessible by road, but the final descent from the alpine down to the shore is a startling 24% gradient, one of the steepest public roads in North America. You will be amazed by the wildlife and birds, and the mystique of the landscape. We will visit the beaches of Bonanza and Gregory by following short and easy trails that provide tranquil escapes into the virgin rainforest. We will end our day with a catered picnic on Bonanza beach.

Cancelation Policy

Cancellation made in writing with 61 days’ notice: 100% refund. Cancellation made in writing with 30 to 60 days notice: 50% of your tour fee. Cancellation within 29 days of departure: NO REFUND. No refund will be made for lost nights or services due to flight delays or cancellation, including weather delays. Ocean Edge Expeditions will work with clients to re-schedule cancelled tours on alternate dates; we strongly recommend the purchase of Travel Insurance.
