Yakoun Lake

Take a trip to Yakoun Lake located between Daajing Giids / Queen Charlotte and Chaahluu Kaahlii / RennelSound, approximately 20 km northwest of Daajing Giids / Queen Charlotte, a popular freshwater destination with a beautiful beach and a fabulous hike along Bellis Trail.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Yakoun Lake is located in a remote area and accessed by travelling on logging roads from Daajing Giids / Queen Charlotte. On our way to the lake we will visit one of the largest sitka spruce trees registered in BC.  We will then hike 20 minutes along Bellis Trail through ancient rainforest to the pristine beach of Yakoun Lake.  The trail is fairly flat, with some boardwalks and tumbling tree roots.  A catered picnic lunch will be shared on the beach.  Visitors may wish to swim in this mountain fed lake.
